Villa Karli
Other Activities

Tennis
Within a stone's throw of Villa Karli, there is an all-weather municipal tennis court that costs just a few euros an hour to hire. There are a couple of tennis racquets in the villa, but remember to bring your own tennis balls. (Equipment hire is not available)
Mountain Climbing, Hiking & Walking
With the Pyrenees not far away and the Black Mountains even closer, the local countryside has something to offer everybody, ranging from a gentle ramble to a real challenge for an experienced climber plus plenty in between. The region is home to a wide number of hiking trails for all levels of ability and there are literally thousands of marked trails in the vicinity. Most of these walks last between one and three hours.
Cycling and the Tour de France
Cycling is extremely popular and the quiet country lanes that wind through the vineyards provide a superb environment. for this activity. The Tour de France normally passes through Carcassonne and Beziers in early/mid July.
Boules (Petanque)
A boules area is available at the back of the villa and a set of adult boules as well as a children's set are available in the conservatory for our guests to use. There is also the village community boules area just beside the municipal swimming pool.
Shooting
Clay Pigeon shooting is known as "Le Ball Trap" and there are such facilities in Creissan village. It is clearly signposted.
Rugby
This is the main spectator sport of the region and Beziers, Narbonne, Montpellier, Toulouse and Perpignan all have major rugby teams with stadiums to match and play in the French professional rugby leagues and the European (Heineken) Cup.
Skiing
Winter sports are probably not obviously associated with the Mediterranean region, but in fact during the winter months skiing in the Languedoc itself is available and there are also ski slopes available in the Pyrenees, just over two hours away by car.
