Villa Karli is located in the heart of the village and everything is within walking distance.
The village has plenty to offer and within just a few minute's walk, you'll find the boulangerie/patisserie, supermarket/general store, post office, florist, tobacconist, pizza café, snackbar, beauty salon and the village's beautiful gothic style wine cave selling AOC wines at very reasonable prices.
To make life at Villa Karli even easier, the baker delivers fresh bread and pastries to our road seven days a week. The sounding of horns signals his arrival (between 11am and 11.45am).
The medical centre is just round the corner from the villa and there is also a dentist in the village. There are pharmacies within 2km (in neighbouring villages), together with a good selection of restaurants, shops, supermarkets and other amenities.
At the end of our road, there is a new communal tennis court and just a few hundred metres away, you will find the recently refurbished 30m swimming pool & paddling pool. There is also a kiosk, selling ice-creams, snacks, coffee and soft drinks.
A brand new children's sport facility offering football and basketball opened in 2009 and offers free access for local people.
The public gardens are beyond the village pool, with an open-air theatre, a variety of historical local wine artifacts, a place to watch the locals enjoying a game of petanque (boules) or simply a quiet spot to people-watch and relax. Or perhaps have a game of pingpong on one of the permanent table tennis tables in the gardens.
On the lower road, there is a large horse-riding centre where a variety of activities can be booked - from a simple pony ride to a course of advanced lessons.
