Sailing & Windsurfing
The mountain lakes and safe coastine provide excellent sailing opportunities, notable places to go are the Lakes of the Haut languedoc Plateau, Lac du Salagou, Serignan, Marseillan (Bassin de Thau) and Sigean (near Narbonne).
Canoeing & Kayaking
The nearby Orb river valley provides some excellent canoeing opportunities, for varying levels of experience and there are many other beautiful gorge river valleys in this region all offering excellent facilities. Roquebrun is probably the nearest and one of the best places to go but follow this link for more info. For less of a challenge the lakes of the Haut Languedoc provide wonderful conditions for kayaking
Motor Sports
Cap d'Agde is widely recognised as the new St Tropez. With millionaire yachts aplenty and the "Centre Nautique", the Cap has fantastic facilities for hiring a jet ski, motorboat, pedalo and most other types of watersports.
Boat Trips & Fishing Trips
Most of the coastal resorts offer boat trips, ranging from small scale fishing trips departing from Valras Plage marina to large boats and ships setting off from Sete, the major Mediterranean port to destination further afield.
