Sailing & Windsurfing

The mountain lakes and safe coastine provide excellent sailing opportunities, notable places to go are the Lakes of the Haut languedoc Plateau, Lac du Salagou, Serignan, Marseillan (Bassin de Thau), Sigean (nr Narbonne).  The photo on the right shows sailing at Lac du Salagou.

Canoeing & Kayaking

The nearby Orb river valley provides some excellent canoeing, for varying levels of experience and there are many other beautiful gorge river valleys in this region all offering excellent facilities.  Roquebrun is probably the nearest and one of the best places to go but follow this link for more info. For less of a challenge the lakes of the Haut Languedoc provide wonderful conditions for kayaking

Jetskis & Motor Sports

Cap d'Agde is widely recognised as the new St Tropez (aee photo on right).. There are millionaire yachts aplenty  and the "Centre Nautique" is has fantastic facilities for hiring a jet ski, motorboat, pedalo  and most other types of watersports..

Boat Trips & Fishing Trips

Most of the coastal resorts have boat trips available, small scale fishing trips are available from Valras Plage marina but Sete is the major port in the area where larger boat trips depart from.
